Finding Magazine and Newspaper Articles
If you are looking for magazine or newspaper articles, try using one of the library's online databases. The library provides access to a number of licensed-only databases funded by the State of Michigan and retrievable through The Library Network of which the Milford Public Library is a member. Many of these databases contain full-text articles not often indexed by search engines such as Google. You can use our databases to find popular or scholarly articles from magazines, journals, and newspapers on a wide variety of topics, both for adults and youth. Topics are far-ranging and include topics on geneology to car repair to world history and many more.
Online database articles from magazines such as Newsweek, Time, New York Times, etc. are digitized versions of the magazine or newspaper and are considered a print reference when teachers require printed sources for homework assignments.
Go to the Homework Help section on the linked page for databases suitable for youth assignments.
For ancestry research, the library has a paid subscription to Ancestry Library that supplements the State of Michigan's Heritage Quest.
