Front Doors
The Library's automatic front doors welcome you.
Optelec 20/20 Plus
A closed circuit television reading system which magnifies from 8x
to 60x provides assistance for viewing of most printed and handwritten
materials.
Kurzweil Reading Edge
A state-of-the-art reading machine which scans printed material, converts
text to synthesized speech, and reads it aloud.
Materials
Large print books including the latest best sellers and longtime favorites
are available as well as fiction and nonfiction titles recorded on
cassette tapes or compact discs.
Talking Books for the Blind
Free loan of equipment and recorded materials is offered through the
Oakland County Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped.
Outreach Services staff is available to assist eligible local patrons
with use of Library for the Blind equipment.
Homebound Delivery Service
Milford residents who are physically unable to visit the Library are
eligible for free delivery of library materials to their home. Call
Adult Services staff to request service at 248-684-0845.
Outreach Services
Monthly visits are made to nursing homes
and retirement complexes to bring a selection of books and magazines
and to offer
special programs for residents.
