For years Overdrive has been the go-to app for libraries to provide access to eBooks and audiobooks. Now they’ve built a new app specifically designed for library patrons called Libby. Overdrive is encouraging library users to begin reading with Libby. Its user-friendly interface and ease-of-use has led many librarians to make the move themselves. Available on the iPhone app store, Google Play, and on Microsoft Windows (10+), library patrons can now access Libby from their phone, tablet, or desktop.
With the app, you will be able to:
- Read OverDrive eBooks in the Libby app or transfer them to a Kindle device.
- Download eBooks and eAudiobooks for offline reading.
- Sample any eBook or eAudiobook without waiting.
- Your loans, holds, reading positions, bookmarks and notes are synchronized automatically across all your devices.
