Friends of Milford Public Library

Be A Friend...Your Friendship would mean a lot to the Milford Public Library. As a Friend of the Library, you become an important part of an organization that cares about and supports our library. Friends of the Library volunteer their ideas, expertise, time and other resources to help:

  • showcase our library and its services and programs
  • promote the enjoyment and the use of our library to everyone in the Milford community
  • raise funds for projects and materials beyond the library's budget
  • sponsor special programs that encourage reading and literacy
  • add even more excitement and fun to the library experience!

If you have been a Friend for some time,
it is time again to renew your membership.

Friendly Finds Book Store

Besides being a great place to recycle your books, we offer an assortment of gifts by local artists and authors. Our customers find the store a comfortable and convenient place to look for books for their children and themselves. It's also an enjoyable place to work if you are looking for an opportunity to volunteer your time.

We now have a staff of 21 regular volunteers and 3 substitutes. Besides selling used books, we are now recycling magazines and catalogs free of charge. Local artists sell their work on consignment from our shop. These include jewelry, tote bags, handmade soap, artwork, note cards, and items from the Milford Historical Society.

To join our staff, stop by the store and leave your name and phone number with the person on duty or with one of the library staff.
