Family Storytime
Children enjoy stories, songs, finger plays, bean bag and parachute activities during this 30 minute presentation. Recommended for children ages 2 1/2 to 5, accompanied by an adult. Siblings of all ages are welcome to attend.
Mondays 1:30 pm;  Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 10:30 am.

Toddler Time
Stories, songs and movement activities especially for toddlers 18 to 30 months old. No siblings please.

Evening Fireside Storytime
Families can enjoy stories and activities for ages 2 1/2 and up, accompanied by an adult.Wear your pajamas! Check in at the Youth Department desk, and stories will be read by the fireplace. 7:00 to 7:30 pm on selected dates.
Registration begins two weeks prior to programs.

Family Fun Time
Make new friends at the library. The Lego table and extra puzzles will be out for families to use. Make a craft, try a computer program or read along with the LeapPad reader. Selected Thursdays. 10:30 to 11:30 am. Registration begins two weeks prior to each date.

Kids Book Club
Children in grades K to 2 will enjoy hearing Award winning stories. There will be discussion on the books, activities and a light snack. Selected Wednesdays at 4:15 to 5:00 pm. Registration begins two weeks prior to each date.

Celebrating 75 Years: 1929 to 2004
Join us for an old fashioned celebration of children's games and activities from 1929. Try marble games, pick up sticks and some crafts from 1929. Bring your favorite doll or teddy bear for lemonade, and meet Kit, an American Girl doll from 1929. Ages 5 and up with an adult. Registration begins September 11.

Hurray for Halloween!
Pippin Puppets presents "Magic Tricks with Batty Witch." All ages with an adult. Come in costume, and
join the parade. Registration begins October 14.

Turkey in the Straw
There's no school, so come to a fall harvest program and learn about corn husking bees and musical instruments that were used at barn dances long ago. A large turkey named Roy will visit from Margaret Schmidt's farm. For ages 3 and up with an adult. Register beginning October 19.

Children's Book Week
Visit the Youth Department during this special week. Read along with a LeapPad book, and try one of the learning toys in the Know and Grow area. We have something for every age group to enjoy.

Accelerated Reader Lists
The Youth Department has copies of the Accelerated Reader lists for Baker, Heritage, Johnson, Kurtz and St. Matthews schools. We can help you find titles in our collection and interloan titles from other libraries in our TLN Cooperative. You can also use your home computer to reserve or interloan titles. Stop at the Youth Desk for information on these free services.                                                   

Reptiles with Michael Brophy
Reptile enthusiast Michael Brophy of R.E.P.T.I.L.E., Inc brings a variety of live reptiles so you can learn more about
snakes, lizards and tortoises in the wild and as pets. For ages 3 and up with an adult.
Registration begins October 30.

Homeschooler's Tour
Homeschoolers in Milford are welcome to tour the library, review the iBistro catalog and interloan procedures. Magazines, databases, career information and the library's web site will also be reviewed. Registration begins September 1.

Homework Help for Parents
Would you like to find a magazine article or a website for your child's homework? The Milford Library Web site is a great source of information for homework help for elementary and middle school students. We will review helpful websites, magazine databases for students and searching iBistro, the library catalog. If you can't attend this program, stop at the Youth Desk for some tips on searching and resources. Registration begins Septemer 7.

Anger Management for Parents
Gain insight into anger and its impact. Learn how to identify and plan your response rather than just reacting. Presented by Dr. SueAnne Magyar-Hill. For parents only. Registration begins September 15.

Divorce and Children
This seminar will discuss some of the most common phases that children of all ages experience as their family goes through a life transition.The discussion is designed to be interactive with group discussion. Presented by Dr. SueAnne Magyar-Hill. Registration begins October 25.
